Someone with flexibility during school hours for meetings and events. This role is best suited for a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills who can support and guide the entire PTA board.

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per week (during program months)
Busiest Time of Year: July–August (planning), October (Trunk or Treat), and months with scheduled programs

Ideal Candidate:
Someone organized and creative who enjoys planning engaging programs and enrichment opportunities for students.

Responsibilities:

VP of Ways & Means

Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week (more during major events)
Busiest Time of Year: Beginning of school year and major fundraising events (Bingo Night, Read-a-Thon, Turkey Trot)

Ideal Candidate:
Someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating events, and supporting the school through fundraising initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:
Someone organized and comfortable working with online systems and membership tracking tools.

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
Busiest Time of Year: Beginning and end of the fiscal year, large PTA events, and budget planning season

Ideal Candidate:
Someone who is highly organized and comfortable managing financial records. Financial experience is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment: 2–3 hours monthly
Busiest Time of Year: After PTA meetings and during the first year in the role

Someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to attend all board and general meetings.

Someone who can attend all PTA meetings and is comfortable ensuring meetings follow bylaws and parliamentary procedure.

Book Fair Chair

Time Commitment: Approximately 75 hours per year
Busiest Time of Year: Weeks surrounding the Fall and Spring Book Fairs

Ideal Candidate:
Someone organized with strong communication skills who enjoys supporting literacy and creating fun reading experiences for students.

Responsibilities:

Council Delegate

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours monthly
Busiest Time of Year: During Frisco ISD Council of PTAs meeting months

Ideal Candidate:
Someone able to attend monthly Council meetings and report information back to the Elliott PTA.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Chair

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
Busiest Time of Year: Ongoing

Ideal Candidate:
Someone comfortable using social media who can communicate clearly and consistently with the school community.

Responsibilities:

Hospitality

Time Commitment: 2–3 hours monthly (more during event planning periods)
Busiest Time of Year: Back-to-school events, teacher luncheons, and Teacher Appreciation Week

Ideal Candidate:
Someone who enjoys planning events and showing appreciation for teachers and staff.

Room Parent Coordinator

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours weekly (more during class party planning)
Busiest Time of Year: Beginning of the year, holiday parties, and end-of-year celebrations

Someone organized and comfortable coordinating multiple volunteers and teachers.

Someone organized who enjoys promoting school spirit and working with vendors.

WATCH D.O.G.S. 

Time Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per month
Busiest Time of Year: Beginning of the year and during recruitment events

A dad, father figure, or male role model who is organized, communicative, and excited to support the WATCH D.O.G.S. program.
