Ideal Candidate:
Someone with flexibility during school hours for meetings and events. This role is best suited for a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills who can support and guide the entire PTA board.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and direction for the PTA
Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with school administration and staff
Coordinate the work of all PTA officers, chairs, and committees
Preside over all Executive Board and General Membership meetings
Prepare meeting agendas and meet with the principal to review PTA-related items

Responsibilities:
Research, plan, and schedule educational programs, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities
Coordinate in-school programs such as author visits and guest speakers
Oversee planning and execution of PTA-sponsored events
Serve as the main point of contact for program vendors and presenters
Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator and event chairs to ensure proper staffing
Ensure programs stay within the approved PTA budget
Promote programs through social media, newsletters, and the PTA website
Assist with event logistics including setup, execution, and cleanup
Maintain communication with school administration regarding program approvals

VP of Ways & Means

Someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating events, and supporting the school through fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee all PTA fundraising initiatives
Establish fundraising goals aligned with the PTA budget
Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
Build relationships with local businesses and community sponsors
Secure sponsorships and partnerships for PTA programs and events
Book event vendors such as inflatables, entertainers, and food trucks
Work with school administration regarding student incentives and prize approvals
Promote fundraising events through social media, newsletters, and the PTA website
Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit volunteers for events
Coordinate annual school supply kit sales with the school vendor

Membership

Responsibilities:
Serve as the authorized custodian of all PTA funds
Maintain accurate financial records for the organization
Deposit funds and pay bills in a timely manner
Process reimbursements and ensure proper documentation
Ensure all expenditures follow the approved PTA budget
Prepare and present monthly financial reports at PTA meetings

Chair the Bylaws Committee and oversee required bylaws reviews
Coordinate the bylaws revision process every three years or when updates are needed
Manage the Nominating Committee process and election procedures

Book Fair Chair

Coordinate the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program at Elliott Elementary
